Overview

Arbor is a national direct lender and real estate investment trust (NYSE: ABR) that provides debt capital for the multifamily and commercial real estate industries has a career opportunity at our corporate office in Uniondale, NY for a Director, Creative Services.  The Director, Creative Services guides and develops all creative projects and is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the creative department.

Responsibilities

The Director, Creative Services will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

 

  • Manages the creative team and projects from concept to completion and translates marketing objectives into creative strategies
  • Leads and directs the creative staff in the production of all advertising/marketing collateral and web/digital projects, and ensures that visual communication standards are met across various media
  • Meets with clients or upper management to explain campaign strategies and solutions
  • Develops creative briefs and design concepts to meet the business objectives of the organization
  • Directs web-based creative work
  • Responsible for establishing creative direction for the entire line of online services, products, and programs

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.

 

Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a role managing a creative/web team in a marketing atmosphere. This role requires a strong design background, as well as a background in leading and managing teams, communication, project management and problem-solving skills. Financial Services experience a plus

 

Ideal candidate will have atleast 5 years experience as a graphic designer, as well as extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have advanced proficiency in all of the following programs on a MAC platform: Adobe Creative Suite (print and web), Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver
  • A readily available design portfolio showing examples of print materials and digital designs must be presented
  • HTML and CSS is a MUST
  • Experience working in Wordpress and/or content management systems
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
  • Superior and advanced powerpoint design skills, including animation
  • Significant corporate and event branding experience to integrate “show-stopping” creative design
  • Understand web, mobile and email design standards and best practices
  • Excellent project management skills to support fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Adaptable, collaborative personality
  • Ability to conceptualize, facilitate and execute print and digital advertising campaigns within existing brand guidelines that strengthen market distinction and leadership position
  • Ability to develop and execute design elements for multiple and rapidly growing automated email campaigns  
  • Expertise in working with printers, obtain pricing and follow the project from conception to completion
