Overview

The Director, Marketing and Multimedia Communications will create compelling internal and external communications, including video and multimedia content for Arbor and its digital and social media channels. Requiring both creative and technical expertise, the role is responsible for developing engaging internal and external content that tells the Arbor story and captures the readers’/ viewers’ attention in support of Arbor’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

The Director, Marketing and Multimedia Communications will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

 

  • Develop and write engaging employee communications, press releases, PowerPoint presentations, social media posts and other corporate marketing materials to support brand strength and growing value proposition
  • Plan and produce videos for the web and social media including concept development, storyboarding and scripting, logistical coordination, technical production of video and audio, shooting, interviewing, and editing. As part of the communications team, advocate for smart and strategic use of video as a storytelling vehicle and collaborate with other content creators on multimedia storytelling
  • Serve as collaborative partner and project manager to various corporate departments for select initiatives. Work collaboratively to produce and create impactful written and digital content. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices  in video and multimedia for the web and social media
  • Produce and distribute video through the company’s website and social media channels in partnership with the content  and social media teams
  • As needed, serve as Arbor’s staff photographer
  • Management of company’s website and  SharePoint-based intranet (and its publishing schedule)

Qualifications

Education:   Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications, journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:  Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a corporate communications function with both internal and external communication responsibilities. Applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio of work that demonstrates both technical and storytelling skills.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects on time, on brand and on budget
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional PowerPoint design skills
  • Knowledge of the financial services and/or real estate industry a strong plus
  • Strong video and still photography skills
  • Fluent digital editing skills, with expertise in video storytelling as well as with software platforms related to digital editing and retouching (e.g., Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom)
  • Understanding of digital video formats for upload to YouTube and other digital channels, as well as with gathering and interpreting video analytics
  • Ability to understand overall new business marketing goals and objectives
  • Positive attitude, hard worker, motivated self-starter, excellent interpersonal skills, creative, pro-active, well organized, ability to work well with others, and detail-oriented
