The Director, Editorial Content will manage the creation and distribution of content across Arbor’s expanding thought leadership and social selling infrastructure to drive lead generation, foster brand awareness, support SEO/SER best practices and, ultimately, convert leads through a content-driven lead nurturing program.
The Director, Editorial Content, will manage and refine our existing content development and delivery process, working closely with designers, researchers, strategic content partners and freelance writers, all while maintaining close relationships with various internal stakeholders to ensure that content is aligned with each step of the client journey in order to most effectively nurture a pipeline of leads.
The Director, Editorial Content will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Managing a Team: While you will be doing a lot of writing yourself, you’ll serve as the editorial director for a small team of writers comprised of both Arbor and freelance professionals. You will also serve as the chief point of contact for all customer-facing content, and will have the opportunity to help with internal communications as needed.
Optimizing Cross-Channel Content Campaigns: Plan and maintain an editorial calendar and map content across appropriate channels (blog articles, email, social, video, podcasts, webinars, etc.) for each stage of the client journey from loan application to refinancing. Analyze and evaluate performance metrics and provide weekly updates to management on progress, action items, metrics and milestones.
Growing Our Brand: Our robust content initiative is not just about generating new business — you’ll also have the opportunity to grow our position as a thought leader in the multifamily finance space. The Director, Content Marketing, will develop sponsored content pieces for industry publications and play a pivotal role in helping Arbor executives give their take on the industry in video interviews and education articles.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in editorial, marketing, corporate communications, digital or social media environment that include direct editorial responsibility and/or content marketing initiatives. Experience in the commercial real estate sector preferred. Experience writing about financial services or multifamily is a major plus.
