  • Overview

    The IT Help Desk Intern is responsible for providing first level technical support to Arbor's employees. This position tracks problem reports, trouble tickets, and employee requests, escalating issues to the correct resources as needed. This position is responsible for ensuring that Arbor's employees have technical issues resolved as expeditiously as possible.


    The IT Help Desk Intern will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:


    • Provide first level technical support to Arbor's employees
    • Properly escalate technical issues to senior technical staff
    • Track problems via trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution
    • Follow up with employees to verify problems are seen through to resolution
    • Recommended procedure improvements where applicable


    Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.


    Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.



    • Strong troubleshooting skills are a MUST.
    • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude are a MUST.
    • Working knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 7, and macOS 10.13 High Sierra.
    • Working knowledge of mobile operating systems, both iOS and Android.
    • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
    • Basic understanding of file permissions and access control lists.
    • Experience with Help Desk ticketing and inventory management is preferred, but not required.
    • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with tight time constraints and frequent changes.


    Travel: 5-10% to other Arbor offices as needed
