  • Overview

    The AVP, Marketing Communications and Content Strategy reports to the VP, Strategy & Planning and is responsible for all external marketing communications and content development including planning, developing, executing and reporting on Arbor’s content-driven Demand Generation operation. In this role, he/she will help drive Arbor’s demand generation engine across Arbor’s multiple product platforms utilizing public relations, content, social media and email marketing. The AVP, Marketing Communications and Content Strategy is an integral part of the marketing team and will leverage Arbor’s in-house marketing resources (creative design, internal communications, data and conferences/events) to swiftly, collaboratively and strategically, develop and implement content-driven demand gen strategies and plans across Arbor’s commercial/multifamily and seniors housing mortgage product platforms.

    Responsibilities

    The AVP, Marketing Communications and Content Strategy will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

    • Leverage data analytics, marketing technology and customer insights to plan, develop and execute Arbor’s marketing communications and content initiatives in order to increase market share, ROI and achieve new business goals.
    • Lead all aspects of content production with strong focus on video production, webinars and written whitepapers.   
    • Demand Generation will focus on content strategy, lead generation and nurturing campaigns with emphasis on content marketing, social, email and SEO strategies.
    • Develop a strong understanding of Arbor’s target audiences, personas as well as our client’s omnichannel experience.
    • Lead an agile team consisting of content, creative, data, communications, conferences, events and sales staff to drive content and marketing communications marketing communications and content marketing activities.
    • Provide weekly and monthly updates and recommendations to management team on progress, action items, metrics and milestones for multiple strategic plans.
    • Create and implement new procedures and processes to accommodate new product launches and marketing initiatives.
    • Gather and analyze competitive and market intelligence to support the marketing and sales team as well as to formulate recommendations.

    Qualifications

    Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications.

     

    Experience:  The ideal candidate will have 10 years of hands-on experience leading the execution of integrated marketing campaigns with a strong focus on marketing communications and demand generation.   B2B marketing experience within commercial real estate, financial services and banking, a plus.

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

     

    • Exceptional writing and communications skills.
    • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive, passion and ability to assess and quickly understand strategic marketing goals, objectives, audiences and goals.
    • Candidate must possess a keen understanding of a broad array of marketing communications, public relations, content marketing and digital marketing.
    • Proficient in video production, directing talent as well as the editing process.
    • Ability to analyze key metrics to measure success of content marketing programs, digital marketing campaigns and SEO efforts.
    • Ability to build trust and cultivate internal relationships to effectively lead the execution of critical initiatives while maximizing various internal and external resources for the purpose of executing concurrent marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously while meeting expected deadlines.
    • A team leader with strong employee/project management experience, able to lead by example
    • Positive attitude, hard worker, motivated self-starter, excellent interpersonal skills, creative, pro-active, well organized and detail-oriented.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Knowledge of the financial services industry a strong plus.
    • Demonstrated skill in content editing for digital publication.
    • Proficiency in CRM, Marketing Automation and technology platforms is desirable [i.e. Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, as well as Microsoft Office].
