    Arbor, a real estate investment trust that invests in a diversified portfolio of multifamily and commercial real estate-related loans and other real estate-related assets has a career opportunity within our Depew, NY office for a Portfolio Analyst. The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for the overall analysis, administration, servicing and compliance of loans in Arbor’s portfolio consisting of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, and conduit loans. 


    The Portfolio Analyst will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

    • Loan document review and interpretation
    • Review legal documents to assure accurate set up of new loans
    • File maintenance of service and legal files in compliance with departmental and regulatory mandates
    • Financial analysis of project operations and borrower wherewithal
    • Identify and communicate to Management any exceptions or discrepancies among internal reports, third party reports, and loan documents at the time of a new loan set up
    • Complete new loan data sheet of loan information to be loaded in to the Servicing System
    • Prepare Welcome Package to new and existing borrowers providing all of the essential forms necessary when submitting a draw requests
    • Review borrower requests, secure complete package of required exhibits and prepare draw request packages in connection with project improvement funding
    • Oversee mass-mailing and tracking receipt of on a quarterly and annual basis, financial statement request letters, and personal financials and borrower certifications
    • Generate monthly reports for the portfolio managers
    • Assist portfolio management team on departmental projects, as necessary


    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field


    Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in commercial real estate and/or financial analysis



    • Advanced proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel/Word applications
    • Excellent oral, written, verbal, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational/time management skills are essential to the success of this position
